USWNT Roster Announced Ahead of SheBelieves Cup, Trinity Rodman Returns

Head Coach Emma Hayes announced the USWNT 26-woman roster ahead of winter friendlies and SheBelieves Cup, including the return of Trinity Rodman.

USWNT head coach Emma Hayes announced a 26-player roster for a January training camp in Southern California, concluding with friendlies against Paraguay (Jan. 24) and Chile (Jan. 27). Because the camp falls outside a FIFA international window, the roster is composed entirely of NWSL-based players.

The headline return is forward Trinity Rodman, who leads the roster in experience with 47 caps and 11 goals and is making her first national team appearance since April 2025. The squad is notably young and inexperienced, averaging just 24.1 years of age and 6.6 caps per player, underscoring Hayes’ continued emphasis on expanding the player pool and evaluating emerging talent.

Four players earned their first senior national team call-ups: forwards Maddie Dahlien and Reilyn Turner, and midfielders Riley Jackson and Sally Menti. Many players have recent U-20 or U-23 national team experience, reflecting a strong developmental pipeline from youth national teams to the senior squad. The roster also includes a significant Southern California presence, giving many players the opportunity to compete in front of home crowds.

Hayes emphasized that the camp is designed to build depth and identify contributors for upcoming competitions, including the 2026 SheBelieves Cup and the 2027 World Cup cycle. The January camp runs concurrently with a U.S. Youth National Team Development Camp, reinforcing U.S. Soccer’s long-term strategy of integrating youth development with senior national team planning.

Head Coach Emma Hayes:

“Once again, our roster presents opportunity, for the coaching staff to evaluate players and for some NWSL players we haven’t seen as much in the National Team environment, as well as for some first-time call-ups, to show they can contribute in 2026, 2027 or beyond.”

“We’re looking forward to having a few more training days than usual in this camp as well as getting two matches to see this part of the player pool in game action and hopefully add even more depth and options for our 2026 SheBelieves Cup roster.”
